Due to its location and strong emphasis on nature conservation, various snake species are fairly common at Atlantic Beach. Unfortunately some of these reptiles from time to time enter residences, and it is required of the Emergency Response Officers to remove the snakes and to release them back into the fynbos outside the estate.
